Dentistry for Kids, teens and young adults

Dr. Durán is passionate about helping children. She finds it a blessing to interact with and provide care for children of different ages. Dr. Durán earned her Bachelor’s degree in Dentistry from The Central University of Venezuela (UCV) in 1996. Later she moved to Monterrey, Mexico, and completed her Master’s degree in Dental Science with advanced specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at The Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon (UANL). This extended specialty training has provided her with a solid foundation of knowledge on delivering dental care to all children, including those with special needs and medically compromised conditions.

In addition, she was a faculty member at the School of Dentistry of the University of Carabobo (Venezuela) for six years at Undergraduate & Graduate Programs in Pediatric Dentistry. Dr, Durán has been in private practice for more than fifteen years.

Feeling the call to continue her education, she then attended Seneca College (Toronto, Canada), and this was where she received her certificate in Clinical Research.

Apart from this, Dr. Durán’s research interests and clinical passions include Minimally Invasive Dentistry, Biomaterials, Cariology, and Non- Pharmacological Behaviour Management. Moreover, she has lectured nationally and internationally and published in professional peer-reviewed journals.

Without a doubt, Dr. Durán is committed to providing high-quality dental services for disadvantaged children who don’t have access to adequate dental care by volunteer her time at ‘Fundación Odontología Solidaria’ in Madrid.

In her spare time, she enjoys lifting weights, hiking, mountain biking, playing tennis, and spending time with her family. And last but not least Dr. Durán is a huge Real Madrid fan.
